Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Finance / Project Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and monthly financial reporting.

You will perform BvA analysis, identify variances and overspending risks, and track project costs, GL codes, and budget owners. You will prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and management reports, while coordinating with finance, project, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Hands-on knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and monthly financial analysis.
• Perform Budget vs Actual (BvA) analysis and identify variances, overspending risks, and remaining budgets.
• Prepare and track accruals, project costs, and monthly charges.
• Analyse costs by project, month, team, cost type, and Build/Operate category.
• Support financial planning and provide insights on cost trends and variances.
• Maintain and validate financial data, including project codes, cost centres, GL codes, resource names, and budget owners.
• Prepare clear and professional PowerPoint presentations and management reports.
• Work closely with finance, project, and business teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts where required.

Finance / Project Finance Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance / Project Finance professional with strong knowledge of financial principles and reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, and financial reporting, along with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and monthly financial analysis.
• Perform Budget vs Actual (BvA) analysis and identify variances, overspending risks, and remaining budgets.
• Prepare and track accruals, project costs, and monthly charges .
• Analyse costs by project, month, team, cost type, and Build/Operate category.

• Conditional Formatting - Highlight overspending, missing data, overdue items, and approval gaps.
• Data Cleaning - Remove duplicates, standardise dates and project codes, and clean timesheet/financial data.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline .
• Good understanding of accounting and financial principles .
• Hands-on knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis .
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
• Good PowerPoint skills with the ability to create professional presentation slides.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical/analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
