Job summary

SATELLITE INTERNATIONAL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. invites a seasoned finance leader to head our accounting and financial management functions in Singapore.

You will drive full-set accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and treasury, partnering with management, banks and auditors to ensure robust controls and timely insights. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
• ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee full-set accounting and financial management functions, including GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, budgets and forecasts, and provide financial insights to support management decisions.
• Oversee cash flow and treasury management, including cash planning and banking activities.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, and act as the key finance contact for banking matters.
• Oversee payment processes and ensure proper approvals and recording according to internal controls.
• Oversee GST, corporate income tax, statutory filings and regulatory reporting, coordinating with auditors and advisors.
• Establish and continuously improve financial policies, internal controls and procedures for governance and compliance.
• Serve as finance business partner to Management, providing insights to support business decisions and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information and provide timely advice on risks and compliance.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the company's full-set accounting and financial management functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial analysis, budgets and forecasts, and provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making and business development.
• Oversee the company's cash flow and treasury management, including cash planning, funding requirements, payment arrangements and banking activities.
• Manage and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions, and act as the key finance contact for banking and financing matters.
• Oversee payment processes and ensure that all payments are properly reviewed, approved, processed and recorded in accordance with the company's internal controls and approval policies.
• Oversee GST, corporate income tax, statutory filings and other regulatory reporting requirements, and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and other professional service providers.
• Establish, implement and continuously improve financial policies, internal controls, accounting procedures and financial management processes to ensure effective governance and compliance.
• Act as a key finance business partner to Management, providing financial insights and advice to support business decisions, and work closely with internal stakeholders, the Group, banks, auditors, tax advisors and other external parties.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial information and provide timely advice on financial risks, compliance matters and other finance-related issues.
• Perform other finance-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent are preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with substantial experience in a finance management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in full-set accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, taxation, statutory compliance and internal controls.
• Experience in a trading, commodities, energy or other corporate environment is preferred.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical financial advice and support business decisions.
• Strong integrity, professional ethics and sense of responsibility, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
