Job summary

The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead the field technical services, support the Sales team, and oversee training across customers, distributors and employees.

You will manage the technical service team, coordinate site interventions, maintain spare parts inventory, and drive safety, quality and environmental standards while enabling product demonstrations and tenders. Travel within Singapore and across Asia is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in technical services, industrial maintenance, professional hygiene, chemicals or related industries.
• Previous experience managing or coordinating technicians or technical teams is strongly preferred.
• Strong practical, hands-on technical approach.
• Ability to understand customer processes and translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable delivering technical training to different audiences.
• Customer-oriented and able to work effectively with commercial teams.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage several technical priorities simultaneously.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and develop the field technicians.
• Plan and coordinate technicians' schedules and customer site interventions.
• Allocate technical resources according to customer and business priorities.
• Ensure interventions are completed safely, professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of technical interventions.
• Define and follow appropriate KPIs for the technical service activity.
• Ensure technicians receive appropriate training and maintain the required level of technical competency.
• Promote compliance with company safety, quality and environmental standards during all technical activities.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the Sales team during customer visits, trials and technical discussions.
• Assist Sales in identifying the most appropriate products and solutions according to customer applications and requirements.
• Participate in product demonstrations, customer trials and implementation of new solutions.
• Support troubleshooting and investigation of technical issues at customer sites.
• Provide technical input for tenders, major projects and strategic customer opportunities when required.
• Work closely with Sales to convert technical expertise into commercial opportunities.
• Act as a technical point of contact for customers when required.
• Conduct site assessments and recommend appropriate products, equipment, processes or application methods.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of the company's solutions at customer sites.
• Investigate technical complaints and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant internal departments.
• Maintain strong technical relationships with key customers and distributors.
• Develop and deliver technical training programmes for:Sales teamsField techniciansCustomersDistributors and partners.
• Provide training on products, applications, equipment, safe handling and best practices.
• Develop and maintain appropriate technical training materials.
• Ensure internal teams maintain a strong and up-to-date understanding of the company's products and applications.
