Job summary

Mi Equipment is seeking a field service engineer in Singapore to set up and commission new machines at customer sites. You will gather customer requirements, perform data mining and provide improvement recommendations in collaboration with R&D and PDE teams.

You will monitor projects, present technical findings to clients, answer questions, and travel as needed to fulfill duties while mentoring junior engineers and supporting the Field Service Leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Professional degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to travel within Singapore and SEA.
• Experience in service field with die sorting platforms and vision inspection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Semiconductor experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and commission new machine installations at customer’s side.
• Understand client expectations and provide technical feedback and failure analysis from customer side to R&D and PDE Department; and thus, provide aligned solutions to meet client satisfaction

• Assist Field Service Leader to mentor, coach, and supervise junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company, ensuring timely and complete closure of all tasks

Job description

• Able to answer technical question and provide recommendations or solutions for application of machines at customers’ sites
• Monitor machine performance regularly and perform data mining and analysis to provide recommendations for improvement
• Understand customer requirements and able to perform data mining and analysis to provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop knowledge-based repository for FAQs and documentation
• Travelling would be as needed to fulfil job responsibilities
• Assist Field Service Leader to maintain and achieve smooth operation and support execution
• Assist Field Service Leader to mentor, coach, and supervise junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and team development
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company, ensuring timely and complete closure of all assigned tasks

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)/Computer Engineering/Physics/ Applied Science/ Mechatronics or equivalent
• Applicants must be able to travel in Singapore and SEA, as per assign by Superior
• Service field experience with strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in die sorting platforms with multiple input/output and vision inspection
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to learn and work hard
• Able to work independently
• Team player and ability to work within multiracial environment
• Possess strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Possess teamwork spirit and positive attitude
• Good and positive work attitude, self-motivated with ability to work independently and in team environment
• Semiconductor working experience in similar position is preferable
