Job summary

Yield Engineering Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support key semiconductor customers with start-ups, installations, training, and on-site service in the Taiwan metro area.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 20%), strong electro/mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer interfacing skills. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Engineering or an allied field (or an Associate with equivalent experience), 5+ years in field service within semiconductor equipment, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology preferred; associate degree with experience also welcomed.
• 5+ years in Field Service/Customer Support in semiconductor or capital equipment.
• Strong electro/mechanical understanding of semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with electro/mechanical, robotic, plc control, RF, pneumatic, vacuum systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with clients.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and independently.
• Ability to develop and present action plans for problem resolution.
• Experience in semiconductor fabs.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Valid driver's license; passport required after hiring.

Responsibilities

• Supporting key accounts focused on customers in the Taiwan metro area.
• Conducting equipment start-ups, installation, problem solving, retrofits, PMs, and on-site training on YES semiconductor processing equipment.
• Providing technical phone support
• Managing customer correspondence and scheduling
• Writing technical service SOPs
• Organizing, logging, and generating reports
• Conducting external and internal customer technical meetings
• Owning/generating plans and driving issues/escalations to closure
