Job summary

Lam Research Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers at their sites, performing installation, startup, preventive maintenance and on-site service for Lam etch/clean/deposition equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with no prior professional experience or equivalent work experience.
• Graduate eligible role; willing to relocate to Singapore.
• Self-starter who can work independently and grow with the Company.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to actively engage customers on technical solutions.
• Willing to support short term overseas assignment.
• Able to work swing shift (Tue–Sat or Wed–Sun).
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing PPE.
• Frequent travel domestically and internationally; flexible shifts including overtime and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Install and/ or relocate equipment at customers' sites; start-up and check-out activities.
• Provide warranty tool support or paid service for out-of-warranty tools; minimize downtime.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to locate and resolve malfunctions; replace parts as needed.
• Implement field modifications or ECO-driven updates.
• Carry out Tier 2 process qualification work.
• Maintain logs, service records and diagnostic updates.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and align on needs.
• Develop good customer relations during installation and service contracts.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
