Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) in Singapore. You will install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment, using digital analytics for troubleshooting and coordinating with customers to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 0–1 year of related experience, with travel up to 75% and willingness to meet site safety and customer protocols. Training provided for various systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline required.
0–1 year of experience in customer support, field service, or related engineering field.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience diagnosing basic technical challenges.
Basic mechanical aptitude across pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment with Senior Field Service Engineers guidance.
Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and issue diagnosis.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
