Job summary

WGT Group in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Equipment Service Engineer to support the installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of automation equipment and systems. The role requires reading electrical/electronic circuits, working with robot software and PC software, and travel for overseas assignments on short notice.

Diploma/Degree in Engineering and 3 years' experience are required, along with strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in equipment servicing, automation systems, or machine maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic circuits and machine log files.
• Familiar with robot software, PC software setup, and electrical components such as servo motors and robots.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel for overseas assignments on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and maintain automation systems and equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, controllers, and software issues
• Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes for effective resolution
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers within SLA timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues efficiently
• Prepare timely and accurate service reports and documentation
• Conduct onsite machine testing and ensure customer requirements are met
