Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and maintain automated test handlers at customer cleanrooms in Singapore. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and upgrade systems while ensuring strict safety and cleanroom protocols.

The role includes delivering specialized training to customer teams and building strong, proactive relationships with engineering staff on site.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or NITEC/ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on technical or equipment service experience in semiconductor cleanroom.
• Training provided for candidates with no experience.
• Vehicle ownership entitles car allowance; otherwise reimbursement.
• Prior knowledge of semiconductor automated test handlers is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equipment installation, commissioning, and buy-off activities for automated test handlers directly at customer cleanroom facilities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical issues on semiconductor test handling equipment to maintain maximum uptime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and engineering upgrades in strict compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Conduct specialized technical training for customer engineering and operations personnel across all experience levels.
• Cultivate and preserve strong, professional relationships with customer engineering teams through proactive communication and technical support.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma or Higher NITEC / ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering
• Hands-on technical or equipment service experience within a semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environment
• Training provided for candidate with no experience
• Possess vehicle will be entitled to car allowance, if not it will be on a reimbursement basis
• Prior technical background or working knowledge of semiconductor automated test handlers is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems and work self-sufficiently with minimal guidance
