Job summary

Randstad - Corporate in Singapore seeks a hands-on engineer to install, commission, and service semiconductor test handlers at customer cleanrooms. You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance in strict adherence to safety and cleanroom protocols.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics and has hands-on equipment service experience within semiconductor environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on service experience in semiconductor equipment or cleanroom environment.
• Vehicle eligibility with car allowance or reimbursement basis.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and qualify automated test handlers at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues to maximize uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and upgrades per cleanroom safety standards.
• Provide specialized technical training to customer engineers and operators.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive technical support.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute equipment installation, commissioning, and buy-off activities for automated test handlers directly at customer cleanroom facilities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical issues on semiconductor test handling equipment to maintain maximum uptime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and engineering upgrades in strict compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Conduct specialized technical training for customer engineering and operations personnel across all experience levels.
• Cultivate and preserve strong, professional relationships with customer engineering teams through proactive communication and technical support.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma or Higher NITEC / ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering
• Hands-on technical or equipment service experience within a semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environment (ideally from packaging fab environment)
• Possess vehicle will be entitled to car allowance, if not it will be on a reimbursement basis
• Prior technical background or working knowledge of semiconductor automated test handlers is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems and work self-sufficiently with minimal guidance
