Job summary

PTW ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support, install and repair hardware, and test products and samples.

The role requires liaising with staff and management to define requirements, performing diagnostics, and maintaining service records. Experience in semiconductor fabrication environments is a plus. Regular full-time position in a Singapore-based setting, with emphasis on reliability, attention to detail, and collaboration across teams for optimal system

Qualifications

• A diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to listen and use logic and reason to identify strengths/ weaknesses of options.
• Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Background from semiconductor fab environments near our products for single wafer wet clean is preferred (fab or fab vendors).
• Lam Research single wafer wet clean (formerly SEZ) and related platforms.

The position of Field Service Engineer (FSE) consists of providing technical support to the company’s needs. It also consists of providing repair, installation & testing of products and samples.

Tasks

• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications;

• Install and perform repairs to hardware equipment, following design or installation specifications;

• Maintain records of problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities;

• Oversee the daily performance of repaired systems;

• Read technical manuals, conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support;

• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to higher level support team for service;

Qualifications and requirements

• A diploma or equivalent;

• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;

• Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

• Preferred with some background from the semiconductor fab level for support areas (from the fab or fab vendors) that are near our products for single wafer wet clean.

• Lam Research single wafer wet clean (formerly known as SEZ)

• Semitool etching and plating platforms

• DNS single wafer or bench wet clean platforms

• KLA metrology platforms

• SUSS Microtec platforms
