Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Lab officer / Research Engineer (FAB Operation) to operate semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment per process specifications. The role requires 1–3 years of semiconductor process experience and a degree in engineering, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will monitor equipment performance, document data, follow strict safety rules, and participate in trainings while providing coverage as needed to

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of semiconductor processes (photolithography, dry/wet etch, cleans, thin films, diffusions, chemical mechanical polishing, metrology).
• Able to perform independently yet working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple semiconductor equipment in cleanroom per process specifications.
• Use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work/duties.
• Participate in on-the-job assignments and required trainings when requested.
• Monitor performance and promptly report equipment errors to Engineers-in-charge.
• Demonstrate teamwork to execute process sequences and collect data.
• Follow safety protocols and 6S in the clean room.
• Report hazards/suspicious/abnormal activities and identify improvement areas (cycle time, equipment utilization, safety, costs).
• Provide machine operations coverage and backup support when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple type of semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environment based on process specifications.
• Ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work/duties.
• Participate actively and be responsible in assigned on-the-job assignments and other required trainings when requested.
• Monitor performance, timely communication with Engineers-in-charge to perform equipment errors recovery promptly when necessary.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork to promptly execute process sequences and data collections if required.
• Always follow safety protocols & rules in the Clean Room.
• Ensure 6S in the work environment and promptly report hazards/ suspicious/ abnormal activities or personnel if any identified.
• Address potential areas for improvements such as wafers processing cycle time, Equipment utilization, Safety/ Compliances, and cost savings.
• Provide machine operations coverage and backup supports when necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of semiconductor process - at least 1-3 years of experience in semiconductor processes (Photolithography, Dry/Wet Etch/Cleans, ThinFilms, Diffusions, Chemical mechanical Polishing, Metrology, etc.)
• Able to perform independently yet working in a team.
