Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate/VP to lead end-to-end FICC technology initiatives in Singapore. You will own pricing, risk, quoting and automation platforms, driving a multi-year move to cloud-native microservices while maintaining high reliability and performance across global desks.

The role requires deep Java expertise (17/21+), strong distributed-systems skills, and collaboration with trading, risk, and control stakeholders across APAC, EMEA and Americas. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years (Associate) or 8+ years (VP) of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• End-to-end ownership of a substantial system or workstream from architecture to production.
• Strong Java (17/21+) expertise and JVM fundamentals; exposure to Python, C++, Kotlin or TypeScript welcome.

Responsibilities

• Own platform end-to-end: architecture, delivery, production health for pricing, risk, quoting and automation across FICC derivatives and cash products.
• Lead multi-year cloud migration: connectivity, IAM, authentication, IaC, deployment topology and cutover strategy.
• Decompose legacy components into resilient microservices with careful regression sequencing.
• Set reliability bar with SLOs, latency budgets, observability, canaries and incident response.
• Build CI/CD, testing strategy, and quality gates across owned components.
• Represent platform to global stakeholders across time zones and jurisdictions.
