As Facility Master Planning Engineer of the Global Facilities team, you will be an integral member of the Global Facilities Line Planning Group responsible for overseeing and managing the layout and space management of new construction and expansion projects for Micron.
Responsibilities
- Collect, classify, evaluate layout and space‑management data and concepts used in new construction projects—from ideas and concept design through detail design to actual construction.
- Collect, classify, and evaluate Micron all‑site layout and space‑management data to generate benchmarks and references for future Micron construction projects.
- Create reports, benchmarking tools, and an eventual monitoring system for matters related to layout and space management.
- Work closely with teams from Global and Site Facilities, Global Planning, Facilities Transfer Team, CPEE, and IEs to coordinate and drive optimum layout, efficient space management, and BOC facilities design for Micron construction.
- Coordinate and manage interface meetings with stakeholders on end‑user requirements for new projects, ensuring those requirements are incorporated into the design during concept and detailed design phases.
- Ensure roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities are fully understood by all participating teams.
Qualifications
- BSc or BEng in Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of facility planning experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Experience in wafer fab facilities systems and/or in facilities layout planning and construction is highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience in facility design, layout, and space‑management optimization.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and simple code writing is desired.
- Ability to integrate and work within a global multicultural team.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team‑building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership abilities to coordinate and motivate teams from multiple sites.
- Effective delegation skills.
