Overview / Responsibilities

The Global Facilities Project Engineer develops a comprehensive construction roadmap to achieve Micron's long‑term goals. The role manages and supports Micron construction projects from inception to closeout, including scoping, pre‑planning, design, vendor coordination, construction administration, budget management, and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the new construction project planning process, establishing objectives, scope, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Prepare new project Space, Cost & Schedule reports and long‑term plan reports for management review.
• Develop and manage initial project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and foster strong working relationships.
• Ensure roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities are clearly understood by the project team.
• Collect, classify, and evaluate data and information used in supporting the Micron new construction project planning evaluation request.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognized institute of higher learning.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management and in large‑scale construction projects, preferably Semiconductor Fab construction or related facilities in high‑tech, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas industries.
• Proficiency with MS Office, construction project management software, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP or LEED) is preferred.

Minimum Experience & Skills

• Strong financial understanding and experience in project cost estimate, budgeting, and cost control.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits, and approval processes.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
