Job summary

PRIMESTAFF MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD seeks a hands-on Facilities Technician to support daily operation and maintenance of a nursing home. Inspect, troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs, not relying solely on external vendors.

The role requires practical M&E and ACMV troubleshooting experience, safe first-line rectification and the ability to decide when a specialist vendor is needed. Report to Facilities Manager and follow established procedures.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, Building Services or related discipline.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in BMS and AHU.
• Practical experience diagnosing faults and carrying out first-line troubleshooting or minor repairs.
• Able to work independently and determine when specialist vendor assistance is required.
• Comfortable using CMMS or digital work-order applications.

Responsibilities

• Attend to facilities faults, breakdowns and maintenance requests at the nursing home.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting of M&E, electrical and ACMV systems.
• Carry out safe minor repairs to lighting, switches, sockets and other fittings.
• Inspect and troubleshoot air-conditioning, pumps and ventilation systems.
• Attend to plumbing defects, leaks and minor building repairs.
• Record, update and close maintenance requests using CMMS or work-orders.
• Coordinate vendors for servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Support fire-safety inspections and drills.
