Job summary

National Environment Agency is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Choa Chu Kang Operations Department to manage conservancy, facilities, arborist and landscaping contracts at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery. You will work closely with a team and other NEA departments, coordinating with partners and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• At least 5 years in facilities management or environmental public health
• Experience in contract management and leading a team
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, presentations)
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Willing to work in after-death care environment and on weekends/public holidays

Responsibilities

• Manage contractors and parties in facilities management to achieve optimal maintenance
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and machineries to ensure smooth operations
• Coordinate with contractors, manage contracts, and ensure work follows up per contract requirements
• Track work progression and ensure reports are submitted on schedule
• Work with agencies and stakeholders for related works
• Monitor approvals, issue Purchase Orders and manage payments to contractors/vendors
• Conduct Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) meetings and toolbox talks
• Respond to feedback from the public and stakeholders
• Plan and participate in operations for annual festivals such as Qing Ming and Lunar 7th Month
• Review processes to enhance productivity and service standards
• Handle feedback/appeals from the public
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
