Job summary

Singtel is seeking a facilities professional to manage day-to-day operations across its locations in Singapore. You will monitor power, UPS, cooling, BMS and environmental systems, coordinating maintenance and managing incidents to ensure continuous reliability.

The role requires strong analytical skills, clear communication and the ability to work independently or with teams while coordinating multiple stakeholders. Experience with telecommunications facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering or facilities management.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and guiding team members is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations across assigned Singtel locations, ensuring building systems remain reliable.
  • Monitor critical infrastructure including power, UPS, cooling, BMS and related systems.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with service providers and stakeholders.
  • Manage facilities incidents, escalation, root-cause analysis and service restoration.
  • Monitor performance against service levels and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain facilities documentation, asset records and audits support.
  • Handle facilities-related customer requests and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Support operating and capital budgets and facilities financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve BMS performance, reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and energy-conservation programmes.
  • Participate in change management and coordinate approvals for site/system changes.

How You will Make An Impact:
  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations across assigned Singtel locations, ensuring building systems and critical infrastructure remain reliable and operational.
  • Monitor key facilities systems, including power, UPS, cooling, environmental monitoring, BMS and related infrastructure.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, planned shutdowns and technical issue resolution with service providers and stakeholders.
  • Manage facilities incidents, including escalation, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and service restoration.
  • Monitor Managing Agent and service-provider performance against agreed service levels and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure facilities operations comply with applicable fire safety, workplace safety, building and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain facilities documentation, asset records and operational reports, and support internal and external audits.
  • Manage facilities-related customer requests and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support operating and capital budget management, expenditure monitoring and facilities-related financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve BMS performance, maintenance reliability, energy efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Support facilities projects, sustainability initiatives and energy-conservation programmes.
  • Participate in change management activities and coordinate approvals for site or system changes.
Skills for Success:
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline, with relevant facilities management experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems, electrical distribution, and ACMV systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing operational priorities.
  • Able to work effectively independently and collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and service partners.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing operational, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
  • Experience leading, guiding or coaching team members. Prior experience in telecommunications or other critical facilities environments is an advantage.
