Job summary

Singtel Group is seeking a field operations professional to manage the Common Duct Network, coordinate with contractors and authorities, and support on-site fault rectifications. The role requires practical civil/drawing knowledge, and a collaborative approach to ensure timely project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year track record in telecom/engineering environments, with AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency, and willingness to work after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma in Engineering/Telecommunications or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of working experience is preferred.
• Class 3 driving license would be an advantage.
• Willing to work non-office hours and be on 24x7 standby for faults.

Responsibilities

• Operate Singtel Pipe Planning, Laying, Operation and Maintenance for Common Duct Network.
• Coordinate with contractors, agencies and authorities; ensure timely submission of schemes, vouchers and reports.
• Verify contractor progress and claims; assist on-site issues and propose practical mitigations.
• Attend site meetings with external parties to discuss solutions and approvals.

How You will Make An Impact:

• Responsible for operation of Singtel Pipe Planning, Laying, Operation and Maintenance work for Common Duct Network.
• Able to work with various stakeholders, such as contractors, agencies and authorities:
  • Ensuring project schemes, material vouchers, job completion reports are issued and submitted timely.
  • Updating and keeping track of the contractor’s progress report.
  • Verification of contractor’s job completion and claims.
  • Assist contractors whenever they encounter difficulties on site.
  • Proposing alternatives to solve infrastructure issues.
  • Conduct/attend site meetings with externals parties (contractors, agencies, authorities, etc.) to discuss alternative solutions and obtain approvals.
  • Assess construction plans and site conditions to identify potential clashes and recommend practical mitigation measures.
• Will be required to be activated after office hours when necessary to rectify faults related to consumer services.
• Progressively update direct supervisor on daily work assignment and update relevant documentation.

Skills for Success:

• ITE/ Diploma certification in Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field.
• At least 2 years’ working experience.
• Class 3 driving license would be an advantage.
• Able to work during non-office hours on an occasional basis and be on 24 x 7 hours standby alert for ad-hoc faults.
• Good working knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of civil drawing review and AutoCAD drawing.
• Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player.
