Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a Fab Equipment Engineer to maintain, repair and continuously improve high-volume manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom.

You will maximize uptime, optimize performance and contribute to yield and cost goals. Key responsibilities include PMs, repairs on MOCVD/Lithography/E-Beam/Aligners/PECVD, RCA-based debugging, spare parts management, and collaboration with Process Engineers to improve MTBF and process control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3-5 years hands-on Equipment Engineer experience in high-volume semiconductor frontend manufacturing or OEM field service in similar environments.
• Strong RCA skills (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic schematics and P&ID.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and repairs on semiconductor fab equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting to restore tools to production-ready status.
• Develop, refine and document standardized maintenance procedures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to improve equipment stability, MTBF and process control.
• Identify and resolve recurring failures using RCA methodologies.
• Implement upgrades/modifications to boost performance, throughput and cost-efficiency.
• Utilize SPC and data analysis to monitor equipment health.
• Ensure maintenance adheres to cleanroom, safety and environmental standards.
• Document all maintenance activities and changes in the ISS inventory tracker.
