Job summary

Sodexo Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an events and café operations professional to support the Head chef, coordinate catering for events, and ensure smooth service delivery. The role involves liaising with clients, managing food safety standards, and overseeing on-site event setup and service flow.

The position requires working closely with kitchen and service teams to meet timelines, maintain high service levels, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction for events and daily café operations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head chef and team to understand event and catering requirements.
• Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, menu, and special requests.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with Sodexo Food Safety, Nutritional standards, and Workplace Safety and Health across operations.
• Handle food safety tasks such as temperature monitoring, storage, sampling, and cleaning.
• Oversee café operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute food and beverage services for events.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for timely preparation and delivery.
• Oversee event setup, presentation, and service flow.
• Monitor timelines and resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Manage inventory, orders, equipment, and logistics for event setups.
• Gather client feedback and drive continuous service improvement.

Job description

Location: 30 Sunview Way (Pioneer) *Transport provided from Boon Lay MRT*

Working Hours: 7am to 4.30pm

Working Days: 5 days a week (Mondays to Fridays only)

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Head chef and his team to understand the requirements of event and catering requirement
• Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, menu selection, and special requests
• Ensures maintenance of high level of customer satisfaction and quality standards.
• Ensure legal requirements and standards related to Sodexo Food Safety Standards, Sodexo Food Nutritional standards, Workplace Safety and Health are implemented and adhered during the entire Operational processes related to Food Services and its scope of activities.
• Any other food safety related tasks assigned e.g. temperature monitoring of food, storage and equipment, taking food samples, cleaning activities.
• Taking care of café operation
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing food and beverage services for events. This role
