Job summary

Akkodis Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support global export and sanctions compliance in a multinational environment. You will review sanctions alerts, investigate customers and transactions, and escalate potential issues in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires experience with sanctions, money laundering, and OFAC regulations, plus proficiency in SAP GTS and Accuity Compliance Link. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in reviews, investigation and resolution of sanctions, money laundering, or terrorist financing issues.
• Experience using SAP GTS screening system and Accuity’s Compliance Link.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving techniques.
• Able to apply sound ethical judgement and spot false positives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in OFAC/Sanctions Compliance laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Global Export and Sanctions Compliance team members in sanctions compliance activities.
• Conduct reviews and analysis of sanctions system alerts.
• Investigate customers, business partners, and transactions per SLAs.
• Escalate unusual findings related to sanctioned individuals or activities.
• Gather data from internal systems, internet, databases, and inquiries.
• Document relevant investigation facts for GESC determinations.
• Analyze matches and differentiate true/false positives on sanction lists.
• Maintain thorough documentation of analyses performed.
• Support special projects or critical casework.
• Coordinate with teams to raise awareness of sanctions trends.
• Assist with record keeping and documentation efforts.
• Multitask; stay organized and detail oriented.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.

This role provides valuable experience supporting sanctions and export compliance activities within a highly regulated multinational setting.
Role Title: Compliance Specialist

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension

Assist Global Export and Sanctions Compliance team members insanctions compliance activities by:

• Conducting reviews and analysis of sanctions system alerts


• Conduct investigation of customers, business partners, andtransactions in accordance with established policies and procedures and toolsper SLAs


• Escalate unusual findings that might be related to sanctionedindividuals, terrorist financing, law enforcement, or other criminal activities


• Conducting searches, gathering data, and recording evidencefrom internal systems, the internet, third party tools, commercial databases,and enquiry with business or compliance contacts within the organization.


• Accumulatingand documenting relevant regarding transaction and screened parties’ facts frominvestigations so GESC can determine the necessary compliance steps


• Analyze potential matchesgenerated by automated systems, differentiating between true matches and falsepositives for parties on sanctions and EAR restricted parties lists includingthe BIS Entity List and Denied Parties list.


• Maintain thorough documentation of analysis performed.


• Support any special projects or critical casework.


• Interacting with relevant teams to raise awareness of sanctionstrends, emerging issues, remedial actions, or enhancements to the program.


• Supporting record keeping and documentation efforts.


• Ability to multitask; must be organized and detail oriented


• Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

• Expertise and experience in OFAC/Sanctions Compliance laws and regulations


• Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with company personnel


• Ability to meet aggressive timelines and in a compliance focusedenvironment


• Proficiency in Mac applications (Numbers, Pages, and Keynote)and MS Office applications (Excel and Word)


• Experience and knowledge of U.S. Export AdministrationRegulations is a plus
