Job Description
Responsibilities
Decarbonisation & Sustainability Initiatives
  • Collaborate with product and technical services teams to develop tailored decarbonisation pathways, aiming for measurable reductions in carbon emissions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Ascott CarbonClear Initiative, aligning properties with the organization’s sustainability and decarbonisation framework.
  • Source and conduct pilots for new sustainability solutions to optimize building performance and reduce carbon impact.
  • Support the global sustainability strategy by aligning operational teams and stakeholders with decarbonisation goals and sustainability best practices.
Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze sustainability data from the global portfolio, identifying trends and providing actionable insights regarding building performance, energy consumption, water use, waste management, and carbon emissions.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize building performance across the portfolio, ensuring compliance with sustainability goals and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide strategic insights based on global sustainability trends, highlighting opportunities for improvement and areas where performance can be enhanced to meet decarbonisation and sustainability targets.
  • Benchmark sustainability performance across properties and advise on potential improvements to meet global and local sustainability goals.
  • Support listed and private fund entities in the submission of sustainability data and performance information for the GRESB assessment, ensuring accurate and timely submissions aligned with the organization’s sustainability standards.
Data Systems Management
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of sustainability data from global properties, tracking key performance indicators such as energy, water, waste, and carbon emissions.
  • Perform regular checks to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of the data submitted, addressing discrepancies and collaborating with property teams to resolve any issues.
  • Support the maintenance and optimization of data systems, including UL360 and Greenview Portal, ensuring that data is correctly integrated and accessible for reporting and analysis.
  • Help develop and maintain data dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights into sustainability performance and progress towards decarbonisation goals.
  • Assist in onboarding new properties to the UL360 and Greenview Portal platforms, ensuring smooth integration and providing training to property teams on data collection and reporting processes.
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, decarbonisation strategies, or related fields, with a focus on sustainability data, building performance optimization, and environmental solutions.
  • A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in sustainability data collection, analysis, and deriving actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau). Experience with sustainability data platforms (e.g., UL360, Greenview Portal) or the ability to learn new software tools quickly is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of decarbonisation frameworks and strategies, particularly in the context of the built environment, and experience supporting the development of decarbonisation pathways for properties.
  • Experience in piloting or implementing sustainability solutions aimed at optimizing building performance and reducing environmental impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex sustainability data and insights clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with experience in driving sustainability initiatives across teams and properties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global context, collaborating with teams and properties across different regions to drive sustainability goals and data accuracy.
  • A strong passion for sustainability and environmental impact, with a commitment to advancing global decarbonisation and sustainability efforts.
