Private Advertiser is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the QS Manager across pre-contract and post-contract procurement administration. The role includes budgeting, cash flow control, and handling of claims and final accounts for civil and building projects.

We expect a Degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 2 years of relevant experience, along with meticulous, analytical, and team-oriented work ethic, capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Meticulous with good analytical skills; able to work in a team and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of market updates, construction cost trends, and materials is an advantage.

You will assist the Quantity Surveying Manager in the pre-contract or post-contract and procurement administration. In addition, you will also be involved in budgeting, controlling of cash flow and cost, processing of claims, contract payments, settlement of final accounts and variation orders.

Your Role

• To assist Project Manager in the pre-contract or post-contract of the projects

• For the pre-contract role, your job involves evaluation of price comparison and costing summary. You will prepare tenders, measurement and preparation of bills of quantities and quotations for both civil and building projects

• For post-contract role, your job involves ensuring accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts. Maintenance of proper documentation of events at site for variation order / Extension of Time (EOT) claim
  

The Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent with minimum 2 years’ of relevant working experience preferably in a main construction firm

• Other pre-requisites are to be meticulous, possess good analytical skills, be a team player and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of the market updates, construction cost trend, construction methods and materials will be added advantage
