Job summary

Surabana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking an Executive Engineer to join our coastal engineering team in Jurong West. The role focuses on civil and structural analysis for coastal/marine projects, with responsibility for foundations, interfaces with subcontractors, and tender support.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree (master's preferred) and 5+ years' experience in large-scale marine infrastructure, with knowledge of BS/Euro codes and experience using engineering software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BCA/IES/ACES recognised).
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Civil and Structural analysis and design of coastal and marine infrastructures (quay walls, ports, jetties, retaining walls) for local and overseas projects.
• Carry out structural and geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations.
• Assist Project Lead/PM/Design Manager in planning site investigations and interpreting results.
• Manage subcontracts (soil investigation, Accredited Checker, hydraulic surveyors, etc.).
• Supervise design and/or site work as required.
• Contribute to proposals, obtain internal approvals, and tender submissions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Engage and manage stakeholders including clients, design teams, and site teams.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Engineer to join our dynamic team at Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd. This full-time position is located in Jurong West, West Region and will play a crucial role in our coastal engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Civil and Structural analysis and design of coastal and marine infrastructures such as quay wall, port, jetty, retaining walls, , etc. for local and/or overseas projects.
• Carry out structural and geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations.
• Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager / Design Manager to carry out:
• Plan for site investigation and result interpretation.
• managing subcontracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, hydraulic surveyors, hydraulic study experts etc)
• Supervise both design and/or site work.
• Pursuing projects, preparing technical and financial proposals, obtaining internal approvals and tender submissions.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations, and Codes of Practice
• Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering would be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in large scale marine infrastructure projects using British Standards and Euro Codes.
• Basic knowledge of specialist marine studies such as berthing and mooring analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful.
• Experience in contract administration will be advantageous.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
