Job summary

SJ Group seeks an experienced civil/geotechnical coastal engineer to lead design for ports, jetties, reclamation, and coastal protection across local and international markets.

You will work on infrastructure and marine projects, coordinate with clients and teams, and contribute to tender submissions and project documentation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience in civil/geotechnical coastal projects.
• Proven ability to establish design methodology and governance on major projects.
• Singapore-Registered Professional Engineer in Civil/Geotechnical preferred.
• Strong English communication and review skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform C&S, geotechnical and/or coastal engineering design and analysis for infrastructure and marine projects including reclamation.
• Prepare and review technical calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support procurement and management of subconsultants and specialist studies.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and technical discussions; ensure compliance with codes and standards.

• Are you ready to make an impact on large-scale coastal and infrastructure projects? We are looking for a passionate and capable professional to join our team in delivering ports, jetties, quay walls, revetments, reclamation, coastal protection, and marine infrastructure projects across local and international markets.

Job Description

• Perform civil & structural (C&S), geotechnical, and/or coastal engineering design and analysis for infrastructure and marine projects including reclamation
• Support planning, design development, review, and coordination of engineering deliverables
• Prepare and review technical calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and presentation materials
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, technical coordination, and progress monitoring activities
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders
• Support procurement and management of subconsultants and specialist studies (e.g. soil investigation, survey, environmental, instrumentation)
• Participate in site visits, inspections, assessments, and technical discussions
• Support authority submissions and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to tender submissions, technical proposals, and project documentation
• Support project delivery in accordance with technical, quality, safety, cost, and schedule requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience, including the project design of at least 2 reclamation projects will be preferred
• Demonstrated capability in establishing design methodology and providing technical governance on major projects
• Singapore-Registered Professional Engineer in the relevant discipline (Civil / Geotechnical) is preferred
• Excellent technical, communication and review skills in English
