Job summary

Nomura in Singapore seeks a Governance & Regional Business Management Officer to lead day-to-day delivery of governance and regional activities. You will drive committee secretariat, governance framework implementation and cross-functional initiative coordination across businesses and functions.

The role requires independent judgement, senior stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate priorities into actionable plans with clear ownership and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in investment banking or financial services governance and business management.
• Hands-on leadership of senior management committee secretariats, agenda planning, minute writing and action tracking.
• Proven delivery of cross-functional initiatives in complex regional or matrix organisations.
• Experience with end-to-end F2B lifecycle and related controls is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical judgement and executive communication with senior stakeholders, auditors and regulators.
• High integrity, discretion, accuracy and ownership with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional governance frameworks, policies, committee structure and operating standards.
• Oversee senior governance structures, mandates, escalation protocols and decision authorities.
• Conduct governance reviews to identify gaps and improve alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Risk to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Ensure governance reporting to executives, board committees, regulators and auditors.
• Lead day-to-day secretariat for NEMC and NOC; maintain minutes, action logs and deadlines.
• Maintain records for management, audit and regulatory review; assess committee effectiveness.
