Execution Trader / Junior Analyst (Hedge Fund)

Job Scope

This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across the entire investment process, combining execution trading and investment research responsibilities. In addition to executing Japanese equity trades, you will conduct company analysis and investment research. The position is designed for individuals who aspire to build a long‑term career as an Equity Research Analyst or Portfolio Manager. During the first 1-2 years, you will be involved in both trading and research activities, before transitioning to a research‑focused role.

Requirements

• Strong interest in trading and/or investment analyst roles within a Japanese hedge fund
• Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) preferred.
• 2-3 years of professional experience outside the financial industry, with a desire to transition into the hedge fund industry
• Strong interest in investing and financial markets, with a proven willingness to learn
• Long‑term career aspiration to become an Equity Research Analyst or Portfolio Manager
• English proficiency at a business communication level or above

Compensation

• Target annual compensation: S$102,000 (including bonus)
• Approximately JPY 12.8 million per annum
