Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking an Events Program Specialist for a 4-month maternity cover, based in Raffles Place. You will act as product manager for events in your portfolio and drive execution with a focus on strategic direction.

Collaborate with content managers, thought leadership and advisors to develop commercially viable event programs for global markets; identify executive speakers for conferences, live seminars and webinars, and create promotional materials with marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field completed.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience; event programming/management preferred.
• Superior project management skills and the ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• · Acts as product manager on all events in individual’s portfolio, overseeing execution and contributing to strategic direction.


• · Collaborates with internal content manager, thought leadership team and external subject matter advisors to develop commercially viable event programs in multiple global markets.


• · Develops and presents product briefings to internal sales, marketing and customer service teams.


• · Identifies, invites and confirms executive-level speakers for conferences, live seminars and webinars.


• · Collaborates with content manager and marketing department to create promotional materials for each event.


• · Manages on-site event execution, ensuring sessions run on time and providing speaker support in a professional, service-oriented manner.


• · Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with industry thought-leaders, associations, vendors and media.


• · Manages speaker expense budgets.


• · Facilitates clear, consistent communication within cross-functional project teams.


• · Represents Company at key educational and networking gatherings.

Qualifications

• · Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Communications or related field.


• · 3+years of relevant work experience; event programming and/or management experience preferred.


• · Superior project management skills.


• · Thorough and detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.


• · Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
