Job summary

CITY MANPOWER CONSULTANCY in Singapore is seeking an experienced Events Manager to plan, coordinate and manage events from concept development through to execution.

You will develop event concepts, programmes and schedules while liaising with clients, venues and suppliers to deliver successful events. This role demands strong project management, budgeting and vendor management skills, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required.

Qualifications

• A degree in events management, hospitality, business, marketing or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in event planning, coordination or management.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of event operations, budgeting and vendor management.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage corporate, promotional and other events.
• Develop event concepts, programmes, schedules and operational plans.
• Coordinate with clients, venues, suppliers, contractors and other service providers.
• Source and negotiate with vendors and manage event-related procurement.
• Prepare event budgets, quotations and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective execution.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, equipment, catering, decorations and manpower.
• Manage event teams and oversee on-site event operations.
• Monitor event progress and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure successful delivery of events.
• Conduct post-event reviews and prepare reports on event performance and expenditure.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients, vendors and business partners.
• Perform other duties related to event planning and management as assigned by management.
