  • Plan and execute donor events end-to-end, including budgeting, procurement, speaker liaison, registration and post‑event follow‑up.

Job Description

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy think-tank at the National University of Singapore. The Institute analyses public policy; builds bridges between thought leaders; communicates its findings to a broad audience; and provides a platform for mature, open and incisive discussion on Singapore's challenges, options and direction.

IPS is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager (Development) to support the Institute's fundraising efforts. The primary focus of this role is managing the IPS Corporate Associates (CA) Programme, including its administrative operations, event logistics and calendar of donor events.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Programme Management & Strategy: Lead and develop the IPS Corporate Associates Programme, implementing improvements and new initiatives to enhance value for corporate donors.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute donor events end-to-end, including conceptualisation, budgeting, procurement, speaker liaison, registration, marketing materials (EDMs/collateral), technical setups, on‑site management and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Donor Acquisition & Stewardship: Drive donor acquisition, retention and renewals. Prepare appeal materials, process gifts and agreements, monitor fundraising campaigns, and maintain ongoing engagement to steward donor relationships.
  • Database & Administration: Maintain accurate donor records and event databases. Assist with copy‑editing and dissemination of reports, conduct basic research on prospective organisations and industry topics and provide support for IPS‑wide events and general administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in the Arts, Social Sciences, Mass Communications, Business or a related disciple.
  • Have relevant work experience in donor relations, stakeholder engagement or event management:
    • Assistant Manager: Minimum of 3 years of experience
    • Manager: Minimum of 5 to 6 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in fundraising and donor management, along with demonstrated project management or supervisory experience.
  • Possess an excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Be highly organised, meticulous and methodical, with strong administrative capabilities.
  • Be self‑motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Access) or equivalent database tools.
