Job summary

Andaz Singapore is seeking a Captain / Team Leader – Event Service to help run the department in line with Hyatt's strategies and brand standards. You will support the Event Service Manager to ensure banquet operations are managed efficiently with courteous, professional, and flexible service.

The ideal candidate has a hospitality Certificate, 1 year of hotel operations experience in Events/Banquet/F&B, strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and a proactive, service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hotel operations, preferably within the Events, Banquet, or Food & Beverage Department.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive, and service-oriented attitude with a "can-do" mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
• Relevant supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills will be an advantage; candidates may be considered for a Team Leader position based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, while meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
• Assist the Event Service Manager in ensuring that the banquet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
