Job summary

Cambridge CARES in Singapore seeks a Research Ethics and Data Governance Manager to lead governance across data and AI use for BloodCounts!-AI4S. You will ensure compliant ethics submissions, data handling, and stakeholder coordination with Singaporean partner institutions.

You will train researchers, manage records, coordinate with IRBs and regulators, and contribute to policy development in a multi-institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ethics and data governance
• Degree in life sciences, public health, law or related field; PhD/desirable
• Experience in research ethics and data governance, including ethics/IRB submissions
• Knowledge of Singapore regulatory landscape (HBRA, PDPA)
• Understanding data governance across multiple jurisdictions (Singapore and UK)
• Experience interpreting data access/sharing agreements and MTAs
• Familiarity with governance for AI/ML models and related documentation
• Strong organisational skills to manage deadlines and compliance

Responsibilities

• Act as ethics and data governance representative for the BloodCounts!-AI4S study across collaborating organisations
• Coordinate preparation and review of ethics applications, amendments, and renewals
• Maintain records of ethics approvals, data access, and project governance
• Coordinate with IRBs, Data Access Committees and regulators in Singapore
• Provide ethics and data governance training to researchers and staff
• Support development of institutional policies on ethics and data governance
• Monitor evolving regulations and advise on implications for project operations
• Maintain site master files and governance documentation across partners
