Job summary

Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is seeking an Assistant Manager, Estate Management to join a team that maintains state properties, manages handovers, conducts maintenance inspections and coordinates preventive works. You will liaise with contractors, assess costings, oversee design/construction from inception to completion, and handle public feedback to keep properties safe and compliant.

The role may involve offshore island work and participation in inter‑agency discussions to address

Qualifications

• Background in Facilities/ Estates/ Environmental Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties and contract administration.
• Tech savvy and ability to think out-of-the-box.
• May be required to work offshore islands.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, liaise with and supervise term contractors to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled and assess performance for payment verification.
• Assess costings and prepare tender documents including quantity measurements.
• Oversee, monitor and manage design/construction work from inception to completion within time and budget.
• Process return of properties from government agencies or tenants and determine reinstatement requirements with internal/external parties.
• Attend to public feedback or incidents and proactively propose preventive measures or works.
