Job summary

Orion Systems Integration Pte Ltd is seeking an Equipment Engineer to lead in-house tuning, testing, factory acceptance, and training of service engineers for new equipment. You will review customer buy-off criteria, participate in design and software reviews, and coordinate cross-functional improvements.

The role requires 2+ years in automation or related fields, a Diploma in Mechatronics/Engineering, and strong English/Chinese communication for regional coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in automation, mechanical design or electrical roles.

Responsibilities

• Review customer buy-off criteria and plan in-house teaching and testing.
• Participate in design and software reviews to ensure alignment with buy-off requirements.
• Set up and test equipment in-house after power-up.
• Provide feedback to design/software teams on required changes during testing.
• Maintain and update equipment testing logs.
• Train service engineers and act as an in-house resource for equipment issues.
• Coordinate with design and software teams to implement improvements.

Job description

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for in house fine tuning, testing, factory acceptance and training of service engineers for new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing customer buy off criteria and planning in house machine teaching and testing plan
• Participate in design and software review meetings to ensure equipment aligns with buy off requirements
• Perform in house equipment set up and testing after system powers up.
• Provide feedback to design and software team on required changes during testing.
• Maintain and update equipment testing logs.
• Provide training to service engineers and serve as an in house resource for equipment problems.
• Coordinate with design and software teams to implement improvements proposed by service team or customer teams.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably in Automation, Mechanical Design, or Electrical.
• Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible and team player
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese to effectively communicate with regional counterparts and customers.
