Job summary

US Semiconductor MNC is seeking a field service engineer to install, commission and relocate semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Singapore. You will perform PM/CM, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and support testing and qualification after installations.

Requirements include a degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics, strong problem-solving, good communication, and willingness to travel. Shift and standby duties, plus cleanroom safety, are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and relocation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system-related equipment issues and replace defective parts where required.
• Support equipment start-up, testing, calibration, and qualification after installation or maintenance.
• Implement ECOs, system upgrades, and equipment modifications.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately.
• Work with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and provide timely support.
• Travel to customer sites locally or overseas when required and participate in standby/on-call duties.

Job scope:

• Perform installation, commissioning, and relocation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites

• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system-related equipment issues, and perform repairs or replace defective parts where required

• Support equipment start-up, testing, calibration, and qualification after installation or maintenances

• Implement engineering change orders (ECOs), system upgrades, and equipment modifications

• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately

• Work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and provide timely support

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures while working in cleanroom environments

• Participate in standby/on-call support and travel to customer sites locally or overseas when required

• Assist with projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of Semiconductor Manufacturing or Mechanical / Electrical equipment will be an advantage.

• Able to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and handling precision equipment.

• Willing to perform shift work, standby duties, and travel overseas when required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
