Job summary

JPMorganChase in Singapore seeks an entry-level Software Engineer I to join the Asset Servicing team. You will contribute to designing, developing, and testing software components in a secure, scalable environment.

As part of an agile team, you execute basic software solutions, learn to leverage AI-assisted tooling, and gain experience across the SDLC while focusing on code quality and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 1+ year of applied experience.
• Baseline knowledge of software, applications and technical processes within a given technical discipline.
• Working knowledge of enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities with strong validation habits.
• Ability to review and validate AI‑assisted code and follow security requirements.
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated ability to code in one or more languages.
• Understanding of software skills such as development, maintenance and improvement.
• Proficiency in developmental toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Executes basic software solution design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Uses enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities to accelerate design and coding tasks.
• Writes secure and high‑quality code in at least one language with guidance.
• Interprets architecture, design representations and nonfunctional requirements.
• Applies automation to reduce manual toil in SDLC and addresses code quality issues.
• Gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes data to drive continuous improvements.
• Applies AI‑assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain while ensuring security and auditability.
