Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry-level Cross Technology Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L1) to provide professional remote and on-site technical support to clients. The role focuses on incident diagnosis, routine tasks and close adherence to standard procedures to restore service.

You will work with client environments, handle alerts, and escalate to L2 when needed, ensuring timely updates and effective resolutions while supporting field engineering needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Associate level certification in Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC (Ex: CCNA DC).
• Associate level certification in Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNA, JNCIA, ACMA.
• Collaboration certifications such as CCNA Certification, MS700 & MS720, Webex Calling advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Configures, installs, tests and ensures client-site infrastructure is operational.
• Installs and configures software as part of the solution per client requirements.
• Logs incidents with required detail and escalates to resolve.
• Liaises with client IT, carriers and colleagues to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
• Investigates first-line support calls to determine root cause using knowledge base articles.
• Responds to alerts and escalates if unresolved within SLA timelines.
• Updates incidents with progress and resolution details in the ticketing system.
• Performs effective and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests.
• Applies tools and processes to track and change configuration items.
• Investigates problems and assists with remedies and preventative measures.
