Job summary

Pan-United is a global leader in low-carbon concrete technologies catalysing change in the concrete space. This role invites an enthusiastic civil or materials scientist to join the QA/QC team in Singapore and contribute to product testing, site coordination and technical education for staff and drivers.

Entry level candidates are welcome. You will work independently to deliver high-quality results, liaising with customers and adhering to global standards such as ACI/ASTM and BS/EN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in civil engineering, materials science, or chemistry.
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Fundamentals of concrete properties, admixture technologies and applications.
• Familiar with SSEN, ACI, ASTM, and BS/EN standards or specifications for Civil Engineering and concrete.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Able to work independently with a positive attitude to deliver within tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular in-house testing to monitor concrete raw materials and product performance per international standards.
• Assist in all measures related to product quality control.
• Liaise with customers to ensure accurate delivery arrangements and production targets.
• Educate staff and drivers on the importance of good quality control for concrete.
• Conduct site surveys and attend coordination meetings for delivery and concreting arrangement.
• Inspect equipment and propose materials and protection methods for large pours.
• Carry out mockup testing and install monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality.
• Assess concrete conditions and advise on proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete.
• Collect and report real-time data to contractors at site; communicate corrective actions as needed.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues at batching plants and customer sites.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
