Job summary

Investment Company of the People's Republic of China (Singapore) Pte Ltd seeks a hands-on AI platform engineer to research LM models, compare on-premise vs API options, and establish governance. You will design and deploy an enterprise AI platform with secure, governed access across the organisation and lead AI security efforts.

You will deploy on-premise inference services, manage GPUs, monitor costs, and collaborate with business units on pilots such as RAG, document processing and workflow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Hands-on experience deploying open-source LLMs on-premise (e.g. Ollama, vLLM) and understanding of quantisation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major LLM API; familiar with RAG, vector search, and prompt design.
• Proficient in Python; able to build backend services and APIs independently.
• Familiar with Docker and Linux; basic security concepts such as access control, logging and encryption.
• Strong research and writing skills; able to turn technical comparisons into clear reports for management.
• Self-driven and comfortable in exploratory roles with evolving requirements.
• Experience building an internal AI platform, AI gateway or knowledge base; familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain); knowledge of PDPA or AI governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Research developments in large language models, AI tools and vendor landscape.
• Compare on-premise models vs external APIs for performance, cost and data security; recommend options.
• Establish AI usage policy and data governance framework.
• Plan, design and build enterprise AI platform with secure, governed access.
• Lead AI security; safeguard AI systems, models and data.
• Deploy and maintain on-premise model inference services; plan GPU/hardware resources.
• Manage external API access, keys, quotas and costs; route requests by use case.
• Monitor availability, latency, usage and cost of AI services.
• Collaborate with business units on pilot use cases (RAG, document processing, workflow automation).
• Measure pilot outcomes and report recommendations to management on scaling.
