Job summary

1100 Micron SemiAsiaOP Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Engineering Tool Development Engineer to design and enable engineering tools for test platforms, focusing on tester bring-up, debugging, and characterization.

You will work hands-on in lab environments, integrate lab instrumentation with testers, and collaborate with Device PE, Validation, and Platform teams to standardize tester usage and improve engineering efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, product engineering, validation engineering, or engineering tool development.
• Experience with semiconductor test platforms, tester bring-up, debug, and characterization.
• Experience in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
• Experience using AI-assistant software development tools to improve software development productivity, code quality, debugging efficiency, and engineering workflow automation.
• Experience with debugging methodologies, root cause analysis, and failure investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering data and drive technical solutions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work across global cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Tester Tool Design & Enablement: Design device-specific hardware solutions and engineering tester frameworks to support characterization, debug, and validation needs.
• Engineering Support & Debug: Provide hands-on leadership for engineering tool and tester bring-up, issue triage, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with global teams to align tester capabilities, limitations, and roadmap priorities.
