Job summary

Micron Technology Singapore invites motivated engineers to support NPI product qualification, packaging builds, and the smooth transfer of new products on planned timelines.

The role emphasizes processing improvements, DOE experiments, training support, and the adoption of AI-enabled manufacturing tools. A Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical or Materials Engineering is preferred, with a 12-hour shift requirement, and a collaborative, data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical / Materials Engineering preferred.
• Experience in backend engineering process or package development preferred.
• Excellent observation, execution and collaboration with team member.
• Ability to make basic sound data-driven decisions. Prioritize and apply due-diligence in day to day task.
• Keen interest in semiconductor engineering.
• Able to work on 12 hours shift.
• Willingness to learn and adopt AI-enabled manufacturing tools and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineer to complete qualification of NPI products / packages build that proliferate from the pilot products and packages according to planned timeline
• Assist engineer to execute NPI Customer samples and Engineering Samples build for new products and packages according to planned timeline
• Identify, investigate, and document quality deviations
• Troubleshoot deviations using systematic troubleshooting techniques
• Ensure corrective action was taken to prevent reoccurrence of deviation
• Troubleshoot process problems and determine the best course of action
• Assist Engineer in conducting experiments (DOE)
• Assist Engineer in maintaining operation procedures/specification
• Familiarize with Assembly qualification procedures
• Maintain knowledge of material attributes (shelf life, storage requirements, etc.)
• Support new device FUT, qualification builds
• Support new equipment evaluation and qualification builds
• Support new material (direct or indirect) evaluation and qualification builds
• Assist engineers to develop, or coordinate development of, training materials for existing/new process
