Job summary

Micron Technology Singapore is hiring a MRDA Technician to support Metrology and Real‑Time Defect Analysis in our advanced manufacturing environment. Qualifications

Job Overview

The MRDA Technician supports Metrology and Real‑Time Defect Analysis operations by executing measurement activities, monitoring process deviations, assisting engineers with defect investigations, and ensuring timely detection of issues affecting product quality. The role focuses on hands‑on tool operation, data collection, basic troubleshooting, material disposition, product and tool qualification, and supporting improvement projects within the manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Metrology & Defect Detection Support


  • Perform measurement activities using established recipes to provide quick and accurate feedback on product integrity.

  • Operate inspection and metrology tools to support defect detection using the latest innovative inspection technologies.

  • Collect and organize measurement and defect data for engineer review.


Process & Equipment Monitoring


  • Conduct routine monitoring using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts according to defined tool qualification criteria.

  • Follow sampling methodologies to proactively identify deviations in machinery and processes and elevate abnormalities promptly.

  • Support engineers and engineering operations in tool maintenance schedules, tool recovery, and basic troubleshooting activities.

  • Execute first‑level equipment and system troubleshooting.

  • Perform internal preventive and corrective maintenance on Metrology and Real‑Time Defect Analysis tools.


Defect Investigation & Data Support


  • Assist engineers with data gathering and preliminary checks during defect source investigations and defectivity improvement projects.

  • Provide accurate data summaries when supporting fab‑related process analysis and equipment availability improvement efforts.

  • Generate first‑pass data analysis for tool or process commonalities and root cause analysis.


Project & Continuous Improvement Assistance


  • Support ongoing projects aimed at improving inline detection, reducing tool measurement variability, improving efficiency, and increasing tool availability.

  • Collaborate with tool suppliers and owners by providing tool performance feedback and assisting in trials of new methods supporting shrinking technology node challenges.


Training & Operational Readiness


  • Maintain competency in recipe maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and recovery procedures for assigned metrology and inspection tools.

  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and support a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained work environment.


Requirements


  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or related fields.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Candidates with experience in semiconductor fabrication processes are preferred.

  • Able to work a 12‑hour shift (Morning/Night Shift).
