Job summary

Go-Ahead Singapore is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to oversee the performance and repair standards of the Workshop Technical Specialists, ensuring work complies with company and legal requirements. The role involves coordinating material needs, optimizing vehicle availability, and enforcing health and safety procedures, with shift work including rotating shifts.

Candidates should have at least a Diploma in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, with supervisory exposure; Class 3

Qualifications

• Requires Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience and 1 year of supervisory experience in automotive/manufacturing.
• Senior supervisor role for more experienced candidates.
• Automotive workshop supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Class 3 driving licence advantageous.
• Able to commit to rotating shift work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the performance and repair standards of the Workshop Technical Specialists.
• Liaise with stores personnel to identify all material requirements and usages.
• Ensure that all maintenance work performed adhere strictly to standards established by Go-Ahead Singapore and any legal requirements.
• Optimize work to ensure maximum availability of vehicles to meet operational requirements.
• Work with all parties to minimize lost mileages due to engineering failures and issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to the planned inspection and maintenance schedules
• Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures, legal and company regulations.
• Undertake any necessary audit to ensure strict compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Carry out any ad-hoc duties as required by the Management.
• Diligently monitor employee attendance and approval of overtime.
• Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must at least attain a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required in an automotive/manufacturing or equivalent environment
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for a senior supervisor role.
• Candidate with automotive workshop supervisory experience will be advantageous.
• Candidate with a valid Class 3 driving licence will be advantageous.
• Able to commit to shift work (including rotating shift).
