Job summary

Seagate Technology (MDW – Automation Servo writer team) seeks a disciplined technician to maintain downtime reduction and safety initiatives across our production lines in Singapore. The role supports maintenance and manufacturing to ensure smooth operation of high-speed processes, monitors quality metrics, and assists engineers with experiments and software evaluations.

You will work in a clean room environment, on a 12-hour night shift, and participate in 5S and preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Willing to work in a clean room environment.
• Able to work a 12-hour night shift (7.30pm–7.45am).

Responsibilities

• Maintain robot downtime, safety hazards reduction and cost saving projects.
• Provide support to Maintenance and Manufacturing for smooth running of production lines.
• Monitor product performance status, 5S and monthly PM.
• Support product engineers on engineering experiments and software evaluations.
• Monitor line issues and yield; perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager.

You will be working with some of the world-class technologies and equipment to certify the recording media for any physical and magnetic defects before being assembled into hard disk

About The Role - You Will

• Maintain the robot downtime ,safety hazards reduction and cost saving projects
• Provide support to Maintenance and Manufacturing for smooth running of production lines
• Monitor product performance status,5S and monthly PM
• Support the product engineers on engineering experiment and software evaluations
• Duties also include monitoring line issue and yield
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by manager

About You

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related Engineering Diploma
• Self-motivated and positive working attitude.
• Team player with good problem-solving skill.
• Willing to work in clean room environment.
• Willing to work on 12hr (7.30pm to 7.45am) night shift pattern
