Job summary

Seagate in Woodlands, Singapore, is seeking a hands-on engineer for the MDW – Automation Servo writer team. You will maintain robot downtime, reduce safety hazards, and drive cost-saving projects while supporting Maintenance and Manufacturing for smooth production lines.

You will monitor product performance, 5S, and monthly PM, assist product engineers with engineering experiments and software evaluations, and help resolve line issues and yields.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related Engineering Diploma.
• Self-motivated with a positive working attitude.
• Team player with good problem-solving skill.
• Willing to work in clean room environment.
• Willing to work on 12hr (7.30pm to 7.45am) night shift pattern.

MDW – Automation Servo writer team is responsible for maintaining product downtime & quality, and manufacturing uptime. You will be working with some of the world‑class technologies and equipment to certify the recording media for any physical and magnetic defects before being assembled into hard disk

About the role - you will:

• - Maintain the robot downtime ,safety hazards reduction and cost saving projects
• - Provide support to Maintenance and Manufacturing for smooth running of production lines
• - Monitor product performance status,5S and monthly PM
• - Support the product engineers on engineering experiment and software evaluations
