Job summary

NPI SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) (PTE.) LTD. is seeking an experienced leader to head the Engineering/Quoting team in Singapore.

You will oversee RFQ processes, including BOM loading and costing, and standardize labor, material, NRE and tooling estimates to ensure profitable quotes. You will implement, manage and report weekly KPIs (output, accuracy, turn-time, win-rate) and collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing to maintain timely, competitive quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to interpret customer technical drawings, BOMs, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Creates/tracks department KPIs and objectives.
• Negotiate supplier pricing to optimize cost and value.
• Maintain technical documentation (Drawings, Models, NPI’s, SOP’s, OMS).
• Validate standards for packaging, tooling, and equipment.

• Establish cost, labor, list price, and lead-time standards for timely quotes.

Position Summary

The incumbent is expected to provide daily leadership to the Engineering/Quoting team. This candidate will be responsible for the RFQ processes which involves the technical review of RFQ’s (BOM loading and Review), along with the oversight and standardization of quote costing processes which dictate the labor, material, NRE & tooling requirements for an order. This candidate will implement, manage & report weekly KPI’s measuring department output, accuracy, turn-time, win-rate, etc., and is responsible for showcasing departmental improvements in process, efficiency, output, and cost.

Job Responsibilities

• Creates/tracks/manages department KPIs, trends, goals & objectives within department.


• Negotiates and improves upon supplier’s standard pricing with a focus on sourcing the highest value and lowest cost materials to remain competitive in the marketplace.


• Accountable for the creation and maintenance of all technical documentation (Drawings, Models, NPI’s, SOP’s, OMS, etc.)


• Incorporates and utilizes checklists to validate teams effectively review all standards and requirements (special equipment, packaging, tooling, etc.) to effectively process order.


• Responsible for root cause analysis and resolution through CAR, & OFI processes


• Maintains communication with related departments & customers regarding status of Engineering projects and RFQ’s.


• Establishes cost, labor, list price, and lead-time standards that deliver consistent timely quotes.


• Delivers prompt accurate cost estimates that ensure profitability and competitiveness.


• Adhoc duties as assigned

• Ability to multi-task, pay attention to details and prioritize/manage multiple requests simultaneously.
