Job summary

IKAS INTERNATIONAL (ASIA) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager in Singapore to lead a high-performance team of software engineers. You will drive architecture decisions, implement scalable microservices, and ensure delivery across the full SDLC.

You will mentor engineers, partner with cross-functional teams, and champion Agile practices while advancing cloud-first initiatives using AWS. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Hands-on experience with Golang, Java, ReactJs, and AWS.
• Experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern engineering practices.
• Proven ability to lead multiple engineering initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive technical design, architecture discussions, and implementation strategies for scalable applications.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle from planning to deployment and support.
• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to define roadmaps and objectives.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, CI/CD, and QA frameworks.
• Ensure high system availability, performance, security, and cloud scalability.
• Manage team capacity, sprint planning, resource allocation, and delivery commitments.
• Conduct performance reviews and career development planning for team members.
• Participate in technical decision-making, code reviews, and architecture governance.
• Drive cloud adoption and modernization leveraging AWS services.
