Job summary
Garner Human Capital Management Pte. Ltd. is seeking a senior casting and metallurgical engineer to support the manufacturing business in advanced and conventional investment casting.
You will lead process optimization, metallurgy analysis, and NPI projects, collaboration with tooling and design teams to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency. The role requires 5–10 years of experience in investment casting, proficiency with SEM/EDS/optical microscopy, and familiarity with aerospace
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of engineering experience in investment casting.
- Strong experience in casting processes.
- Solid understanding of superalloy metallurgy, grain boundary control, and solidification theory.
- Proficient with metallurgical instruments (EDS, SEM, optical microscopy, hardness testers, spectrometers) and ASTM/ASM standards.
- Familiar with aerospace investment casting materials (Al, stainless steel, Ni-based superalloys).

Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize conventional and equiaxed superalloy casting parameters to control grain structure and defects.
- Define and control process variables for consistent casting quality.
- Support tooling, mold design, and ceramic shell development.
- Perform metallurgical evaluations using SEM/EDS/optical microscopy.
- Prepare process documentation and SOPs compliant with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with production to troubleshoot and improve yield and reduce scrap.
- Lead investment casting development projects focusing on defect reduction and yield improvement.
- Drive Industry 4.0 automation and energy efficiency initiatives.
