Job summary

MCLEAN TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a small engineering team focused on process performance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot on the floor, analyze data, and prepare technical reports for customers and suppliers.

The role combines hands-on engineering with people leadership, coordinating with quality, production, and safety teams to implement corrective actions and maintain ISO/EHS standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
• 3–5 years in process or equipment engineering, manufacturing or semiconductor
• Hands-on troubleshooting and data analysis skills
• Experience leading small teams or readiness for team lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small engineering/technical team, assigning work and providing day-to-day guidance
• Own process and equipment performance, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Analyze process and equipment data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and performance summaries for management
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
• Plan and support equipment installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle management
• Be hands-on with equipment and process work where needed, supporting production on the floor
• Engage with customers on technical requirements, process changes, and issue resolution as required
• Evaluate and manage equipment vendors and technical suppliers, including quotations and service follow-up
• Work closely with quality and production teams, and ensure compliance with safety and EHS requirements
• Provide technical training to technicians and operators

Role Summary

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field)
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in process or equipment engineering, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, or cleanroom environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, hands-on approach
• Comfortable handling data in Excel (or similar tools) and writing clear technical reports
• Experience leading or supervising a small team, or readiness to step into a team lead role
• Good communication skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and EHS requirements is an advantage
